Our Amazing Girl Elektra
Elektra is a special girl in our pack. She is the first dog in our family, first dog in my life, and the first foundation bitch who produced five beautiful puppies in her first litter.
In 2004 we decided to add a dog to our family. My husband introduce us to the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed. He had them before and he was in love with this breed. We went to a couple dogs shows to review all the different breeds and speak with the people showing dogs. We tried to learn as much as we could about how different dogs breeds are to be around. An internet search showed a local breeder who had puppies on the ground. She still had one show puppy available. This is how we met and became life long friends with Catherine Schock and our Ridgeback puppy Elektra. Catherine became our handler, mentor, and very close friend. We have been with Catherine through numerous breedings/whelpings/shows.
Elektra is a very easy girl to train, she has a wonderful temperament.
In spite of the fact her very quiet behavior she is alpha dog in our pack.
Elektra is a dual champion:
Conformation and Lure Coursing.
She went back-to-back in three different Major Lure Coursing events for her five points majors and BOB tittle.
